On the computers I produced many pages in my project. I designed my label, instructions and research using Photoshop. This was an advantage as I could crop the images and arrange them to create my instructions and label.

Using computers to do my work has made it easier to do my work. It was difficult to do it on some occasions but all together it has improved my work as it makes it look very neat.

To create my labels, instructions and research pages I looked for pictures on the web, or took my own with a digital camera. I then imported them into Photoshop, transformed the scale of them and arranged them. I then added titles and comments and did a final arrangement. Once I was happy with the layout I then printed it off. When saving my work I saved it as psd. format and jpeg. I saved it as Jpeg. as well just incase the printer I wished to upload it on didn’t have Photoshop.

My most successful piece of work was most likely to be the instructions. I liked this piece the most as I achieved to make it look like a realistic label you’d find on a IKEA box. My least successful piece of work would probably be the Side Table’s research, this is because I think it doesn’t look very good, the arrangement could be tweaked a little more to make it look better.

The main things I struggled with when making my pieces of work on the computer was learning what tools did what and how to use them. This was because Ioften got confused over what tool I should be using for each task, once I learnt this I found it alot easier to do a task to create my Research Pages.

In the future I would like to learn more about each tool and what they do, my knowledge of using Photoshop isn’t large at the moment so I would like to improve on my skills with Photoshop.

For my next project I could use the computers to improve my work greatly as a computer designed page looks neater than a written one, the lines and text looks alot crisper aswell – making it look neater.
